PNP Report : 20,614 Police Officers Promoted to Next Higher Ranks

According to PNP news, a total of 20,614 Police Commissioned Officers (PCO) and Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCO) will be promoted to the next higher rank on a simultaneous mass oath-taking and pinning of ranks this coming December 8 at PNP National Headquarters and different Police Regional Offices.

From a total of 23, 593 vacancies, 1, 475 PCO and 19, 139 PNCO applicants have passed the examination and interviews for the 2nd Level 2014 Regular Promotion Program and were found qualified for promotion effective November 30, 2014.

In the National Headquarters, 143 PCOs and 734 PNCOs were included in the said program assigned at Crame-Based National Support Units, Command Group and Directorial Staff.

“Inaasahan ko na sa pagtanggap ng inyong mga panibagong ranggo ay maging inspirasyon ninyo ito upang mas lalo pang magpursige sa pagbabantay sa komunidad at mas palawakin pa ang inyong mga kakayahan, abilidad at dedikasyon sa pagtugon sa pangangailangan n gating mga kababayan at Pambansang Pulisya” Chief PNP, Police Director General Alan La Madrid Purisima said.

Each unit and office has its PCO and PNCO Promotion Board who processed the applications of those who are qualified for Permanent Appointment to the next higher ranks.

The observance of mass promotion is to give honor and recognition to newly-promoted PNP uniformed personnel as well as to uplift the morale of the police force. (PNP-PIO)
