Alma Moreno Caught Violating Speed Limit in Davao City; 2 PCL Members Arrested for Various Violations

Davao City- At least 2 visiting councilors were cited for various law violations in Davao City.
According to Davao Breaking News report, Alma Moreno with his driver was stopped by a police for over-speeding while running 42kph in a 30kph zone on Wednesday.
The report added that another 2 members of the Philippine Councilors League has violated the anti-smoking ordinances while here in Davao City. Another one was arrested for selling fake certificates.
After allegedly smoking in a no-smoking zone, another unnamed councilor was invited by the police.
Santa Ana Police also conducted an entrapment operation resulted to the arrest of one councilor from Leyte who is said to be selling a fake certificate of appearance to PCL members at P9,000 per certificate.
The councilor is identified as Sergio Batistis from Albuera, Leyte. Recovered from him were fake certificate of Appearances and Official Receipts from Philippine Councilor’s League.
Cash worth P103,500 believed to be proceeds of the illegal transaction were also confiscated, DavaoBreakingNews said.
