Duterte to Impose Nationwide Ban on Overspeeding, Smoking, and Midnight drinking

Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte have been urged to run for the presidency in 2016. Earlier this year, his answer was a firm no. He said that he doesn't have the money to use for his candidacy. But in his recent interviews he has shown interest in running for the said position.

In one of his interviews the tough-talking mayor said that once elected as president he would impose nationwide ban on overspeeding, smoking and midnight drinking.

In Davao City there are designated speed limit in every place depending on how busy the streets are. In their busiest streets the maximum speed allowed is 30 KPH. These resulted in lesser accidents in the streets of Davao.

Its been more than a decade since mayor Duterte imposed no smoking in public places in Davao. And it had received massive support from its people. Unlike many cities around the Philippines, in curfew in selling and drinking alcoholic drinks is an imposed. No one is allowed to sell nor drink in public places beyond midnight. These rules are imposed to keep Davao City a safer place for all the citizens who are residing in the said city.

The people of Davao City as well as the tourist who has visited the city witnessed the positive output of the said rules.
