Philippine Army OCC Requirements for Exam, Pay and Benefits

There are various entry points to become an army officer in the Philippine Army one of which is thru Officer Candidate Course (OCC).

The OCC is a one-year course which prepares you mentally, physically, and emotionally to become an army officer. Upon graduation, you will be commissioned as an Army 2nd lieutenant in the Regular Force, AFP.

To qualify as applicant you must satisfy the following OCC Army requirements for exam:

  • Single and is not supporting any child
  • Between 21 and 25 years old on the date of admission at OCS


Initial Requirements:
  • College Diploma
  • Transcript of Records
  • NSO issued Birth Certificate
  • Curriculum Vitae (for Civilian applicants)
  • Summary of Information (for Military applicants)
  • 2x2 picture

Procedure:

Ensure that you satisfied the basic Qualifications. Applicants as military personnel who qualify in the pre-screening will be required to take the Philippine Army Aptitude Test Battery (PAATB). If you pass the PAATB, be prepared to the Army Qualifying Exam, Special Written Examination and Physical Fitness Test. Prepare for interviews and bring along with you the following in ten (10) folders.

For OCC Applicants:
  • Whole body picture (colored 3r)
  • Summary of information w/ 2x2 id picture (for military applicants)
  • Resume (for civilian applicants)
  • Authenticated xerox copy of birth certificate
  • Authenticated xerox copy of transcript of records
  • Authenticated xerox copy of diploma
  • Result of afp aptitude test battery (afpatb)
  • Statement of service (for military applicants)
  • Marriage contract of parents (if single)
  • Certificate of legal beneficiaries commission orders (for cad applicants only) awards and decorations and commendations ( if any)
  • Nbi clearance prc, rotc order of merit, civil service eligibility, and others command clearance (g2,pa)
  • Affidavit of being single (certified by two (2) disinterested persons, OCC only)


Other Requirements (For military applicants in military service)
  • Recommendation from unit commanders
  • Certificate of Non-Pending Case
  • Certificate of No Money and Property Accountability
Being an Army Officer gives an individual a noble privilege in serving the country. One will be guaranteed a progressive career as soldier and an officer in the Philippine Army. Successful applicants will be officially notified for the next stage of the selection process.
