How to apply as Civilian Employee in the PNP (Nurse,Doctor,Lawyer, Chemist, IT, etc) #LEP

Here’s the good news! There are technical professions in the PNP that you can fill in and enjoy the security of tenure.

The Philippine National Police has been recruiting personnel to fill up the agency’s technical agencies, under the Lateral Entry Program for Technical Officers. Among the welcome applicants are board passers such as Lawyer, Doctor, Dentist, Optometrist, Nurse, Engineer, Graduate of Forensic Sciences, Criminologists, Pilots, psychologist and IT graduates.

Personnel from the regional office and other units, including civilians, can apply and take the Written Competitive Examination (WCE) to step closer of their dreams in serving the country with pride.

Applicants from police regional offices, NSUs, and other PNP Offices should directly coordinate with the administrative officers of the aforementioned offices where they intend to apply for the processing of their applications.



As per qualification based on NAPOLCOM memorandum order 2013-005, civilian applicants must be 21 years old but not over 30 years old at the time of appointment and must have at least one (1) year experience relevant to the job. PNP member applicants must not be more than 46 years old at the time of appointment and must have at least a Very Satisfactory rating for the last two (2) rating periods.

Civilian and PNP applicants are also required to have a Basic Course in Occupational Medicine or at least one (1) year hospital residency training (for Doctors of Medicine), Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (for Members of the Bar) and six (6) months on the job training in Parish Pastoral Ministry, Imam Training or Evangelical Ministry (for Chaplains).

Civilian applicants should submit the following requirements:

  • Civil Service PDS (R-2005)
  • NSO Birth Certificate;
  • College diploma/Transcript of records
  • Eligibility/ies (RA 1080, Bar, CS Professional, NAPOLCOM
  • Training
  • Clearances (barangay, police, mayor, prosecutor, MTC, RTC, NBI, and Ombudsman)
  • Passport size picture taken within six months in white background with name tag (computer generated ID picture is prohibited)
  • Undertaking of non-pending case.
  • All documents must be duly authenticated by the issuing office or agency. Application forms for PNP Lateral Entry Program Competitive Examination – both for the civilian and in-service applicants – can be obtained from the police station nearest to where the applicant resides.
  • Completed and accomplished application forms must be submitted to the administrative offices of the recruiting units before deadline. Late, incomplete, or improperly-filled application forms will not be processed.

Benefits and Compensation

Successful applicants will be appointed to the initial rank of Police Inspector with monthly basic salary of Php32,341.00. Medical doctors, lawyers and chaplains will be appointed to the initial rank of Police Senior Inspector with monthly basic salary of Php35,312.00.
