Funeral homes, drug rehab franchising booming under Duterte Gov’t

The franchising industry is growing thanks to a strong domestic demand. Experts see specific businesses booming under the Duterte government.

Funeral homes and drug rehab business are booming and expected to grown 30% next year or twice as fast last year.

Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) officials noted that apart from the usual food, fashion and services, queries for franchising funeral homes and drug rehabilitation centers are now pouring in.

Samie Lim, chairman emeritus of PFA said two funeral home operators have expressed interest in expanding via franchising, one of which is Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes based in Cebu, told Malaya report.
