PNP Hiring for lawyers, doctors more technical service officers #CivilianEmployee #NUPA

The Philippine National Police (PNP) is looking for lawyers, doctors and other professionals to join in their technical service.

The PNP is filling up 545 vacancies for technical service officers who will be commissioned into the PNP Officer Corps under the PNP Lateral Entry Program.

The PNP Lateral Entry Board is now making initial preparations for the processing of applications for lateral entry of technical service officer candidates.



The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) earlier passed Resolution No. 2-17-229 dated May 31, 2017 granting the PNP the authority to fill-up 545 vacancies for Police Commissioned Officers with the rank of Police Senior Inspector and Police Inspector in the technical services.


According to the PNP, there are vacancies for 100 lawyers, 48 for medical doctors, and 34 chaplains who will be commissioned to the initial rank of Police Senior Inspector with a monthly basic salary of Php 35,312.00, with allowances and other cash and non-cash benefits.

Meanwhile, for the lateral entry quota, 85 registered nurses are needed, 50 psychologists, 54 dentists, 50 forensic chemist/chemical engineers, 50 criminologists, 18 electronics and communications engineers, 40 IT specialists, 11 civil engineers, three (3) electrical engineers, and two (2) architects.

They will be appointed to the initial rank of Police Inspector with a starting basic monthly salary of Php 32,341.00 plus allowances and other benefits.   The PNP Officer Corps comprise approximately 8 percent of the total PNP strength. (PNP/RJB/JEG/PIA-NCR)
