2017 Philippine BAR Exam Results – List of Passers

Manila, Philippines - The Supreme Court announced on Thursday, April 26, the results of the November 2017 Bar Examinations.

A total of 1,724 examinees passed, out of the 6,748 law graduates who took one of the hardest licensure exams in the Philippines. That's a passing rate of 25.55%.

Mark John Simondo of the University of St La Salle Bacolod topped the Bar with a grade of 91.05%

A total of 7,227 law graduates have been allowed by the Supreme Court (SC) to take the 2017 Bar examinations on all four Sundays of November at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Manila.

Karen Mae L. Calam, a student from the University of San Carlos, topped the Bar exams in 2016 with a grade of 89.05 %.

The 2017 Bar examinations, held on all four Sundays of November last year, covered various areas including civil law, political law, labor law, taxation, criminal law, remedial law, legal and judicial ethics.

The previous years’ bar exam passing rates are as follows:
