Kasambahay and Farmer's Son no. 1 in LET

LEGAZPI CITY - The recent LET no 1 passers was actually a son of a harworking kasambahay and farmer who almost stop in his study due to poverty.

The mother of the topnotcher in Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) in Elementary, Paulo Icaranom Bernardino was tearful after hearing the good news.

According to Bombaradyo, the mother of Paolo was full of joy and very proud of him after he just didn't passed the teachers board exam but number 1.

Paolo's mother was a 67- year old working as kasambahay or maid to sustain their family needs with his 7 siblings while his father is a farmer.    

According to report, the mother didn't expect that her son becomes the number 1 in LET considering the boy was not a cum luade in college and just a simple students in Catanduanes State University.
"If not because of schoolarships he was not able to finish in college because we're poor", the mother narrated.

There are times that he didn't ate for two days in a week while studying because his parents has nothing to give. However, it didn't hindered him to finish and stay motivated in studies.

As of now, Paolo wants his mother to stop working for them once he will start practicing his profession - a teacher.

Paolo as topnotch garnered 87.20 rating in the Teachers Licensure Exam conducted on September 2015. The results were released on November 30 wherein out of 68,442 elementary teachers who too the exam, only 21,461 passed.
