Being recognized as of the best seafarers in the world, Filipinos are now in demand in the international shipping industry including cruise ships.
According to Manila Bulletin's report, the Royal Carribbean Cruise Ship, one of the biggest cruise ship companies in the world just announced their interest to recruit over 30,000 Filipino crews for the next five years.
The Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (RCCL) at present there are 11,000 Filipino employees working for the US-based cruise giant in various jobs in their cruise ships and offices.
As of January 2016, the Royal Caribbean entered a joint venture with Philippine Transmarine Carriers (PTC) to establish direct recruitment facility in the Philippines. The new office is projected to open on May 2016 in Manila within SM Mall of Asia.
As hiring partner of RCCL, PTC’s responsibilities are to source, pre-screen, and present qualified applicants for final approval by a recruiter from our team. PTC does not have the authority to hire applicants or decide on an assignment for approved applicants.[Read : About RCCL Hiring Partners]
