How to Avail Height Waiver from NCIP/NCMF | Requirements & Application Process

The height waiver is granted to applicants of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and so on who do not meet the height requirements. The following conditions should be met:

1. The height for initial appointment to the PNP may be waived only when the number of qualified applicants falls below the approved national;/regional quota;

2. The NAPOLCOM en banc may grant height waiver to a member of an indigenous group within the region as certified by the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) or Office on Muslim Affairs (OMA);

3. Waiver of the height requirement may be granted to a male applicant who is 1.57m and a female applicant who is 1.52m. A lower height requirement may be set for applicants belonging to an indigenous group as certified by the NCIP.


Availability of Service:
Monday to Friday; 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. without noon break

Who May Avail of the Service:
Certified members of the Indigenous Peoples / Muslim Filipinos

Height:
                        Male: At least  1 and 57 centimeters (1.57 m)
                        Female: At least 1 meter and 52 centimeters (1.52)

Requirements:

  • Application letter with contact number  addressed to Regional Director (RD)
  • Original copy of Certificate of Confirmation (COC) issued by National Commission for Indigenous Peoples/ National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCIP/CMF)
  • Authenticated copy of Information Index, Geneology, Birth Certificate & other attachments submitted to NCIP/NCMF
  • 2”x2” colored photo with white background & name tag


How to avail of the service re: Height Waiver from NCIP/NCMF

1. Submits the letter of application and complete requirements to the office of the Secretariat, Height Waiver Committee (HWC).

2. Pays the Legal Fee of P100 to the collection officer.

3. Submits to the height measurement

4. Wait for the interview notification from the agency thru text or call.

5. Submits to interview to HWC - composed of Asst. Regl. Director; Chief, Administrative Division; and  Chief, Regional Personnel Records, and Management, National Capital Region Police Office (RPRMD, NCRPO).

6. Wait as the Committee deliberates and prepare a resolution for signature for your height waiver. The Secretariat will prepare 4 copies of your HW certificate and forwards it to the Office of the Regional  (RD), together with the Resolution for consideration. After then, the Regional Director receives and evaluates the Recommendation of HWC and approves or denies the application for height waiver.
7. Receives the HW certificate, with three (3) copies &  Resolution.


What are the factors to be considered in the grant of waivers?

1. Outstanding accomplishments or possession of special skills in law enforcement, police work, martial arts, marksmanship and similar skills;

2. Special talents in the field of sports, music, and others; and Extensive experience or training in training in forensic science and other technical services.
