Baby rescued in the Toilet sewage pipeline after being flush down (China)

A baby boy in Jinhua China were rescued by Chinese firefighters after a residential building tenants reported that they heard a baby crying in a toilet on the fourth floor.

CNN reports that the rescue operation took almost an hour and the infant is in stable condition. Firefighters had to remove the pipe and take it to a nearby hospital, where doctors carefully cut around it to rescue the baby boy inside, the report said.

No one has come forward to claim the child, and CNN reports that police are looking for the parents. Media speculates that the abandoned baby is a terrible actions committed by whoever that could be connected to China’s one-child policy problem .

China’s one-child policy has been in effect since 1979 and stipulates that urban couples be limited to have only one child unless one or both parents are from an ethnic minority, or both are only children.
